The filter has as many as a dozen or so layers applied to the optical glass. Ultraviolet filter - UV absorbs ultraviolet radiation, cutting off radiation that occurs at its greatest intensity in conditions where the air is exceptionally clear (especially in the mountains and by the sea), and which causes a haze effect in the photo.
The HMC Slim C UV filter not only improves the quality of your photos but also provides excellent protection for your lens against all types of dust, grease, and mechanical damage.
